)Help Us Create a New Logo for the Stanislaus

This logo design contest is your opportunity to put your design skills on display! Create a logo for the Stanislaus National Forest and submit it to us by May 31st, 2023. Winners will be chosen by Three Forests Interpretive Association (3FIA), and the winning design will be printed on assorted merchandise sold in 3FIA’s Forest Visitor Centers. First Place Winner will receive a $250 prize. 2nd and 3rd Place Winners will receive $75 each. Winners will be announced on June 2, 2023.

The purpose of the contest is to design a logo inspired by the Stanislaus National Forest. This might be a detail from nature, wildlife, hunting and fishing, backpacking, or a 4WD expedition – whatever you think best represents your experience in the forest.

How to Enter

All entries must be submitted digitally as an e-mail attachment. (see details below)

The deadline for submissions is midnight May 31st, 2023.

Email entries to contact@3forests.com and put “Stanislaus Logo Contest” as the subject line. In the body text of your e-mail, please include your name and preferred contact method information (e-mail, phone number, etc.).

Entries must conform to the Submission Guidelines set out below.

Each Entrant may submit up to a maximum of 2 entries.

You must be a US citizen 18 years or older to participate.

Employees of the US Forest and their families are not eligible for this contest.

Contest Rules and Submission Guidelines

Please read the following items carefully to make sure that your design has all the required elements.

Must be in one the following image file formats: jpg/jpeg, png, tiff, pdf, psd, svg, eps, or ai.

Must be 6″ x 6″ in dimension and have a resolution of at least 300 dots-per-inch (dpi)

The logo will be used online, in print, and on merchandise. Flexibility is a key requirement.

Submitted designs should be in black & white for easy reproduction in one color.

Bold shapes work best. Line weight and white space should be bold enough for easy reproduction at both large and mall sizes.

Must include text: Stanislaus National Forest

Designs cannot include USFS official shield.

Must be the original artwork of the person submitting the work.

Three Forests Interpretive Association will have the right to reproduce winning designs, prepare derivative works of, distribute or display and use submissions in any manner. Use of this material shall include, but not be limited to, clothing, exhibits, websites, publications, product artwork, publicity, and media use. Additionally, you waive the right to inspect or approve any use of the material and any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the material.
